Aurora Imaging provides expert management of all aspects of obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound. Our doctors have all completed fellowship training leading to certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine (RANZCOG) or the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (ASUM). 

 

All scans are performed either by the doctor personally or by a subspecialist sonographer with the doctor on site to provide immediate counselling should any complications be identified.

Our senior genetic counsellor provides expert advice in preconception and prenatal screening as well as specific advice to couples with identified risk for genetic disorders.

​

Our clinicians are happy to provide telephone advice to our referring doctors.

Our Services

Obstetric Ultrasound

​

  • Dating and viability assessment in early pregnancy

  • First trimester screening for aneuploidy at 12-13 weeks

  • First trimester anatomy survey at 13-14 weeks (for women who have had NIPT)

  • Second trimester anatomy survey at 19-20 weeks

  • Cervical length assessment for preterm birth risk

Maternal Fetal Medicine

  • Assessment of suspected fetal/placental abnormality

  • Assessment of complex multiple pregnancy

  • Prenatal diagnostic testing (CVS and amniocentesis) 

  • Preconception, antenatal, and postnatal counselling (Dr White and Dr Lee)

Gynaecological Ultrasound

  • Pelvic ultrasound (day 5-11 of menstrual cycle)

  • Deep infiltrating endometriosis assessment

  • HyCoSy assessment of tubal patency

  • Saline infusion assessment of endometrial pathology

Genetic Counselling​

  • Reproductive carrier screening

  • Non-invasive prenatal testing

  • Parental translocations

  • Previous genetic disorders

  • Fetal structural or genomic abnormalities

Fetal Cardiology

  • Fetal echocardiography by subspecialist paediatric cardiologist

  • Prenatal cardiology consultation

Prenatal Screening and Diagnosis​

  • Panorama NIPT

  • Vistara single gene disorder NIPT

Referral Form

Referrals are required for all appointments as a Medicare requirement.

​

We will accept any written referral as long as it contains patient details, the referring practitioner's details and provider number, and the date.

We can also accept referrals via Healthlink ID auroraim.

​
