COVID-19 Policy

Aurora Imaging continues to operate as an essential service during the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

As the health of our patients and staff is foremost, we are committed to upholding physical distancing measures.

Please note the following restrictions in line with advice from Government and the International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and WA Health directives:

  • As of 15 August 2022, we no longer require a COVID rapid antigen test to be performed prior to your appointment as long as you have no COVID symptoms.

  • A maximum of two support persons will be allowed to accompany a patient for a scan or other appointment.

  • No children under 12 are permitted in the clinic at this stage. We recognise this can be difficult, but it is important that we limit the exposure of our staff who are providing an essential service to more people than necessary.

  • Please call to reschedule your appointment if you or your support person are feeling unwell.

  • Masks are no longer mandatory in the clinic as of Friday the 10th of March 2023

  • If you are in self-isolation, or you have viral symptoms please phone prior to your appointment to discuss options.

For further information please visit the WA Government website at www.wa.gov.au/government/covid-19-coronavirus.

Current expert guidance is that women should continue to attend at usual times for time-critical pregnancy care including early pregnancy screening and anatomy scans. There are some modifications for the routine scans in uncomplicated twin pregnancies and for fetal growth surveillance scans. Please discuss the timing of your scan with your doctor for advice.

Thank you for your understanding.

We will continue to revise these restrictions as Government requirements and the scientific evidence changes.
